Clinical Intern
Babatola is a black counselor driven by a passion for empowering individuals and supporting their emotional well-being. He takes an integrative approach, drawing from psychoanalytic, existentialist, person-centered, and cognitive-behavioral theories to create a comprehensive counseling experience tailored to each client’s unique needs.
Babatola’s warm and collaborative style allows him to connect with college students and individuals from diverse backgrounds, valuing their experiences and guiding them through life’s challenges. He finds joy in helping individuals build life skills, navigate acculturative stress and transition, address grief, loss, and racial trauma, and cultivate a sense of belonging and purpose as they navigate their personal growth journeys.
Babatola’s therapeutic style is built on creating a safe and non-judgmental space where clients can explore their thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear. He believes in meeting clients where they are and tailoring his approach to their specific needs and goals.
Babatola prioritizes self-care and self-compassion, consistently encouraging his clients to embrace these practices. He guides them in cultivating self-awareness, resilience, and healthy coping strategies to navigate life’s challenges and achieve personal growth while nurturing a deep sense of self-acceptance and kindness towards themselves.
