I am a therapist, supervisor, educator, consultant, and leader offering multiple pathways for healing, clarity, and growth depending on what you need.

Brenda Reavis, AM, LCSW (she/her) is a therapist, educator, and consultant dedicated to decolonizing mental health care by integrating spirituality, intuition, and culturally responsive healing practices. As the founder of Orange Tree Counseling and Consulting, Brenda specializes in trauma-informed, anti-oppressive therapy that centers BIPOC and LGBTQIA+ communities. Brenda’s passion for the work has been informed by both formal university-level training, and her lived experiences as a Black queer woman growing up in the South. She is an adjunct professor and sought-after speaker, known for her engaging workshops that challenge colonial frameworks in psychology and social work.

With a background in clinical social work and a deep commitment to liberatory healing, Brenda weaves traditional therapeutic modalities with ancestral wisdom and intuitive practices. Her work is rooted in the understanding that healing is not just psychological but also spiritual and communal. She has spent years exploring how tarot, ritual, and other non-Western traditions can serve as powerful tools for self-discovery and transformation, particularly for those navigating trauma and identity in oppressive systems. Through her clinical practice, teaching, and consultation, Brenda has guided individuals and professionals in reimagining therapy beyond Eurocentric models of care. She believes in creating spaces where science and spirit coexist in service of radical healing.
