Olivia Ndyabagye, LCSW (she/her)
Clinical Director
Olivia is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Orange Tree Counseling and Consulting. She is often described as silly, caring, and thoughtful. Olivia’s clients experience her as supportive, open-minded and grounding. She believes in uncovering and uplifting clients’ unique strengths, creating an individualized experience while holistically accounting for the identities and systems that impact their world. Olivia works in collaboration with her clients to establish openness and safety as they build towards greater healing and wholeness. Olivia work from a decolonizing, systemic lens in therapy. She utilize a range of modalities such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Psychodynamic therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Feminist Therapy to explore trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), anxiety, life transitions, personal growth and self-esteem.
Olivia is a first generation Ugandan-American, born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She moved to the South Side of Chicago for college and fell in love with the people, food and culture. Olivia went to The University of Chicago for her undergraduate degree, majoring in human development. She then earned her Masters in Social Work from Crown Family School of Social Work, Policy and Practice at The University of Chicago and specialized in Family Support.
Outside of work, Olivia enjoy spending time with family and friends. Some of the joys in her life include going to festivals, laying at the beach, hiking, watching TV, and listening to afro-beats.
